Every organization with a budget is curning out their own unique video content. Smaller organizations are focusing on written content and podcasts while larger organizations create or back their own video series.
Marriott, Yahoo, Amazon and Netflix to name a few.
Charter is looking for Roku developers, Streaming platforms are looking for developers, Radio and TV Stations are looking for developers.
The market is massive to say the least.
What I found quite telling was a comment made by an exec during a meeting we had last week, she said "I searched for roku developers and all the results where for Roku itself, there aren't very many companies available".
Thats going to change over the next few years. Where there are massive development shops that focus strictly on mobile apps, the same will pop-up for TV apps. Many of the existing mobile app houses will likely expand their product line to include the television.
The Apple TV app store is this markets catalist. The market is ripe, and the time is absolutely now.
